The Wound Healing Society is pleased to announce the Young Investigator Minority Travel Grant for top young researchers attending 2005 Wound Healing Society Annual Meeting and Exhibition, May 18-21, 2005, in Chicago, Illinois. This new initiative encourages the participation of minority trainees. The award will be given to a top young researcher who is a medical or graduate student, postdoctoral fellow, or resident involved in the field of wound healing and is a member of an underrepresented minority. The award will offset travel expenses to the annual meeting. Trainees may simultaneously apply for both the Young Investigator and the Minority Travel Grant at the time of abstract submission and they will be considered independently. In the case of a dual award, selection for the Young Investigator Award will supersede the Minority Travel Grant.
